The Radium Engineering VTE (Vent to Engine) Baffled Oil Cap Kit is a direct replacement for the OEM oil cap on LSX and LT-series V8 engines. Unlike a VTA (vent to atmosphere) setup, this system routes filtered crankcase vapours back into the engine — making it emissions compliant and suitable for track regulations that prohibit VTA systems.
The kit features an anodised billet aluminium oil cap with an integrated air/oil separator and reusable stainless steel baffle that accelerates oil condensation. A new O-ring sealed billet PCV valve is also introduced, preventing intake pressure from entering the crankcase and protecting against combustible vapour ignition in the event of a backfire.
Gen IV LS Engines (2005+): This kit reintroduces a true PCV system. Turbocharged or centrifugal supercharged applications will pressurize the crankcase without a PCV valve, leading to engine sealing issues. The billet O-ring sealed PCV valve restores crankcase vacuum in all scenarios and only allows metered air back into the intake.
Gen III LS Engines (1997-2004): This kit replaces a potentially old and brittle OEM PCV valve with a new billet O-ring sealed unit, and adds service-free air/oil separating filtration to the crankcase.
