Light to medium-bodied, crisp and bright, slightly sappy with crunchy minted red fruit, a light emery board grip to tannin, with a lively fresh raspberry finish of good length. Such a fresh and pleasing wine to drink.”

It is more serious, with more tension and more elegant and polished tannins, a subtler and more harmonious wine with citrus and floral characteristics. It's still quite primary but has complexity, depth and a mineral feeling, the texture on the palate.”

Despite the hot vintage this is super-fresh, with bright acidity. It’s light in feel yet saturated with red-fruit flavour deepened by a darker, earthy undertow. Garnacha in a Burgundian mode, transparent in weight and fine-grained in tannins yet with lasting presence. Ready now; bring on the rosemary-roasted lamb and potatoes”.
