A single-leaf boat carrying the richness of grain and tradition
Ellyeop Pyunjoo (일엽편주) is a premium Korean unfiltered rice wine brewed at Nongam Jongtaek (농암 종택) in Andong, the historic head house of scholar-official Nongam Yi Hyeon-bo (1467–1555). The name “Ellyeop Pyunjoo”, meaning “one-leaf small boat,” comes from his poem Eobu-ga (Fisherman’s Song), symbolizing harmony with nature and timeless elegance.
This Takju is crafted with glutinous rice, non-glutinous rice, nuruk, and pure water. It undergoes 100days fermentation and about 40 days of aging, then is bottled unfiltered, preserving the natural body and creamy depth of traditional Korean brewing.
The result is a full yet clean profile: refreshing acidity, gentle sweetness, and a soft bitterness that lingers elegantly on the palate.
